aduates at Brigham Young University-Idaho's spring commencement on Wednesday, July 23. The event will be held at 5:45 p.m. in the BYU-Idaho Center. The university will award 470 associate degrees and 1284 bachelor's degrees. Of the graduates, 987 are females and 741 are males. About 47 percent have served as missionaries for the Church. Sister Oscarson began her service as Young Women general president in April 2013. She has served the Church in several capacities, including as a ward Young Women president, member of a stake Young Women presidency, and a seminary instructor. She also served as matron of the Stockholm Sweden Temple during her husband's service as that temple's president. They also served together when he presided over the Sweden Göteborg Mission. Sister Oscarson studied commercial art at Brigham Young University. After raising her family, she returned to school and earned a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in British and American literature. She and her husband, Paul, are the parents of seven children and the grandparents of 24 grandchildren. Accompanying Sister Oscarson at commencement will be Elder Paul V. Johnson, commissioner of the Church Educational System.

Subjects may include such topics as ancient scriptures, Church doctrines, self-improvement, preparedness, and many more. At Education Week, you have the opportunity to gather with others seeking to strengthen themselves and their families as disciples of Jesus Christ and as leaders in their homes and the world around them. The BYU-Idaho Learning Model can enhance this experience. In addition to the classes offered at Education Week, there is a variety of activities for the whole family. Some of those activities include a family dance, devotionals, alumni events, and an exciting concert, among other things.
