REXBURG, Idaho— The 2018 gold-medal barbershop quartet After Hours will headline this year’s BYU-Idaho Barbershop Music Festival Saturday, February 23, in Rexburg. Concerts on Saturday will be at 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the Barrus Concert Hall of the Snow Center for the Performing Arts.

Tickets are $12 for the general public and $6 for BYU-Idaho students. They are available online at tickets.byui.edu, at the BYU-Idaho Ticket Office or by calling (208) 496-3170.

Also performing at the concert will be the BYU-Idaho Men’s Chorus, Women’s Glee, student quartets and the Carousel Chorus from Rexburg.

After Hours began at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, in 2007. Peoria natives Tim Beutel (tenor) and Dan Wessler (bass) sang in a quartet with two college friends, and proceeded to capture the 2010 Illinois District Quartet Championship.

During the following years as they began to excel in the BHS International Quartet Contest, their membership changed when they picked up Wisconsin native Bryan Ziegler (baritone) and Ohio native Drew Ochoa (lead).

They placed in the top 10 in the International Quartet Contest multiple times, finally winning the gold medal and the BHS International Quartet Championship in 2018 in Orlando, Florida.

After Hours strives to simply bring joy to all types of audiences through their music.
