Pre-order your cap and gown from Herff-Jones by visiting their website HERE. Tassel-only purchases are available at Grad Fest. You will also pick up your name card for convocation and confirm the University has your correct information to mail your diploma. The University Store will have a booth for you to purchase memorabilia items from your BYU-Idaho experience. You will be able to enter your name into a drawing for great prizes and enjoy refreshments and other festivities in a celebratory send-off party.
Graduation exercises at BYU-Idaho differ than most others in that we invite the ministry of the Spirit by our conduct and proceedings. Accordingly, and to show respect for everyone present, graduates are asked to adhere to BYU-Idaho's dress and grooming standard of Sunday dress.
Additionally, so as not to draw attention to any one individual:
- Flowers, leis, and other embellishments that might be considered academic regalia should not be attached to or worn with the cap and gown. Outside of Graduation ceremonies, the wearing of honor cords and other regalia are permitted for society and other graduation pictures.
- Position the tassel on the left side of the academic cap, and wear the cap squarely on your head. Male graduates should remove their caps for prayers and posting of the Colors. Do not put anything on your cap other than your tassel.
Cap and gown pickup will take place at GradFest. Pickup for those unable attend GradFest will be held in front of the University Store on the day of Graduation, 8:30am-5pm. All graduates may keep the cap, gown, and tassel. Pre-order of cap and gown.
