Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand

Education Week Concert

Friday, August 1, 7:30 p.m., Hart Auditorium

Ryan Shupe & the RubberBand's lively style of bluegrass infused with flavors of rap, rock and contemporary country has universal appeal. This charismatic quintet takes the audience on an entertainment rollercoaster with stellar musicianship, witty lyrics, funny antics, and audience sing-alongs. Hard-driving arrangements, hot instrumental  solos, and tight  vocal harmonies make the live show a favorite at BYU-Idaho. As Ryan describes his music, "It's good old American country bluegrass music with blues and rock." Popular songs in recent years have included "Dream Big," "Banjo Boy" and "Even Superman." RATING: Bring the whole family!

Tickets go on sale March 4. $10 for general public, $5 for BYU-Idaho students and Education Week participants. Classroom dress.
