Scott and Rhonda Alexander

Sister Rhonda Alexander and Elder Scott Alexander met at BYUI when it was called Ricks College, both received their Associates degrees in 1979 and a lifelong affinity and commitment to the University. They were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple in 1980. Sister Alexander was raised in Buckeye, Arizona, and Elder Alexander in Great Falls Montana. They have three children.

Elder Alexander works as a financial advisor and wealth manager, with offices in Los Angeles, and New York, for the past 30 years. He is affiliated with New York Life Securities, LLC. He has a BA from BYU’ Provo in Business Communications, MBA University of Redlands and completed post graduate work at Harvard School of Business. He has taught Finance and Economics at the University of Phoenix for 16 years. While at UOP he wrote curriculum to maximize financial asset allocation and portfolio management. Additionally he has taught seminars and workshops inspiring individuals and financial advisors in the area of wealth management and accumulation. He has taught symposiums on Western Art and Preserving the West. He collects art originals from early western art painters, bronzes and memorabilia, primarily from Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks.

Brother Alexander has held many leadership positions in the Church including Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, Gospel Doctrine Teacher, and Los Angeles Temple Veil worker, the Scouting Program, Stake Finance and Executive Secretary. He has a passion for the scouting program and the new Ministering Program.

Sister Alexander has worked as a marriage, family and individual therapist. She has a BA from California State University, Northridge in English, and a MS from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology. She recently retired after 20 years from University of Phoenix. While at UOP she has wrote curriculum for the General Studies Program, Psychology courses, plus hired and trained facility. Sister Alexander has a love for teaching with the philosophy of, “learn it today, and use it tomorrow”. She also likes to glue shiny things on all types of decorations. She loves the Holidays and enjoys crafting and creating decorations for each holiday of the year with her favorite being Halloween.

Sister Alexander has worked and held various callings within the Church including Stake Employment specialist, Young Women’s, Relief Society, Primary, Gospel Doctrine Teacher with her favorite calling, so far, has been Seminary Teacher. She has volunteered at the Regional employment center, teaching workshops on resume writing, interview skills, body language, and how to dress for success.

Brother and Sister Alexander have a love for the youth. They have spent many hours with the youth in and out of the church. They have taught workshops on effective goal setting, personal success, self-reliance, focusing on becoming emotionally and financially independent.
